About Evan

Evan Marshall’s ability to bring a vendor and purchaser together, and achieve a successful sale for both parties, is what gets him truly excited about the rural real estate market. “Coming from a close-knit Canterbury community, and farming on my own account for over 35 years, I know how important rural and lifestyle properties are to their owners. As the negotiator, you need to be completely determined to do right by both parties at all times.”

With over 28 years’ experience in real estate behind him, Evan’s expertise and sensible approach are the cornerstones to his success. In his role as rural and lifestyle real estate sales consultant with Bayleys Canterbury, Evan works across the full range of rural properties including dairy farms, sheep and beef farms, dry stock, grazing properties, bareland blocks, lifestyle properties and rural homes.

Evan’s real estate business is thriving under the respected Bayleys banner and the marketing opportunities that the brand offers. “But it doesn’t stop at the brand – it’s the camaraderie and the breadth of combined industry knowledge that the team shares that is most valuable.” Evan is supported by a highly efficient team headed by Ben Turner, with able assistance from Peter Foley, Craig Blackburn, Rachel King and Tess Rennie. Ben and his team have achieved in-excess of $1.41 billion in total sales, and are backed by the country’s largest full real estate brand, and all its extensive resources.

In Evan’s his spare time, Evan takes part in fundraising initiatives within his local community and assists with local under-age cricket and rugby teams. Evan has a great love of the outdoors and sport, particularly rugby, cricket, golf and salmon fishing.
