Kerry has worked in the Wellington property market since 1988 in a mix of valuation, consultancy and management roles, as well as three years as a mortgage broker. Over this period, Kerry has gained broad experience across most sectors of the property market, in particular residential, investment, specialist property, financial reporting valuations across all sectors, and insurance valuation work.
Kerry has an in depth knowledge of the residential property sector ranging from individual residences valued for mortgage security purposes right through to substantial multi-unit developments, social housing and residential investment property (both small and large scale). He has held the role of corporate level property manager providing strategic input for New Zealand’s largest social housing provider (65,000 units) and, of recent years, been on the “other side” as a valuer/consultant advising the same organisation from outside. In recent years he has had a number of significant property developers as valuation clients.
He also has extensive experience in the valuation of “specialist properties” both for mortgage security purposes and for financial reporting. Sectors involved in include education, airports, prisons, tourism, health etc.
