Phil Ware brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the local agricultural landscape to his role. With 23 years in the animal health care industry, Phil's journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for rural life. He also spent 2 years in the fertiliser industry upon returning from living in London for several years. This allowed him to utilise his speciality area of soil science and animal production systems.
Phil's animal health career began in a large multinational corporation, where he honed his skills and gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of the industry. Later, he made a pivotal decision to invest in a local vet practice, where he served as the group trading manager. This move allowed him to immerse himself in the local community, fostering relationships and gaining an intimate knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities in the region.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Agriculture from Massey University, and post degree has been fortunate to embark on extensive continuous professional development. His academic background, combined with practical experience, equips him with a holistic understanding of the agricultural sector. Having also developed a lifestyle block and subsequently sold through Bayleys, he values the often-unique nature of lifestyle properties and what they have to offer.
Beyond his professional achievements, Phil is a family man. Married to Jo, he is the proud father of two sons. One has just completed his cadetship at Smedley Station and has now embarked on a promising farming career at Erewhon, whilst the other is still at school.
Known for his personal qualities of honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic, Phil is a trusted professional in the East Coast agricultural sector, having served clients from Putorino to Opotiki in his previous role. As a team player, Phil understands the value of collaboration and communication in achieving successful outcomes for his clients.
His vast experience, gained through working with clients on farm and industry professionals throughout the East Coast, Wairoa, South Auckland, Northern Waikato, Central Plateau and the Bay of Plenty has provided Phil with an extensive database of contacts. When paired with his negotiation and communication skills refined over the years through both formal training and real life, Phil is innately positioned to successfully deliver on all your rural real estate needs.
More than a real estate agent—he is a seasoned professional with a deep connection to rural life, a commitment to family, and a passion for the great outdoors. His multifaceted background, combined with his personal qualities, makes him an integral part of the Bayleys Gisborne team and a trusted partner for those navigating the rural real estate market.
