The farm has solid and consistent production history with the past four season's production being:

2013/14 - 120,188kg/ms (385 cows milked)

2012/13 - 115,927kg/ms (385 cows milked)

2011/12 - 125,914kg/ms (375 cows milked)

2010/11 - 111,264kg/ms (370 cows milked)

This year 385 cows were calved on the farm. All calves are off the farm by 30th November and heifers are back on the farm from the 1st May.

The farm contour is approximately 75 hectares flat, with 88 hectares rolling to hill of which approximately 2.6 hectares is not effective.

The dairy shed is a tidy 34 ASHB shed with Waikato plant. The dairy shed was extended 15 years ago. Yards and loading ramp are attached to the dairy platform. There is also a feed pad conveniently located near the dairy shed.

Effluent is stored in the holding pond and the spray irrigated over approximately 39 hectares.

Maize silage is grown on the farm. Hay, grass silage and PKE are bought in and fed on the farm.

All the farm infrastructure is of a high standard and well maintained. The additional farm shedding includes a four bay calf shed, additional implement shed/calf shed, a storage shed and a half round barn.

The farm is arranged into 84 paddocks and it has a strong fertiliser history (records and soil tests are available). It is also well raced and fenced with mostly post and batten seven wire external fencing and with 2-3 wire electric internals.

Soils are predominantly Ruawaro clay loam and some Rotongaro loamy peat.

Water is provided via a bore to manacon tanks at the dairy shed then pumped to further manacon tanks and gravity supply to the troughs. The main water lines are 32mm with 20mm to troughs.

The farm is complimented by a comfortable three bedroom brick home plus a self-contained one bedroom sleep out.

The Ruawaro area is regarded as a good dairy farming district with other well performing dairy and finishing farms located nearby.

The district is a supportive one with farm and social clubs. Rural services are provided six days a week. Local primary schooling is at Ruawaro and secondary options at either Te Kauwhata or Huntly.
