‘Chesterfield Farm' covers approximately 44.48 hectares (more or less) of highly productive, spray irrigated land, which is mainly utilized for finishing lambs and cattle. In addition, crops such as fodder beet cereals and potatoes have been successfully grown on the farm.
The irrigation system on the property consists of a 150mm high-pressure main line. The water is sourced from Ohapi Creek and is pumped at a maximum rate of 38 litres per second. The total volume of water used cannot exceed 9,850 cubic metres within a period of seven consecutive days.
Having been under the diligent care of the current owners for the past 40 years, ‘Chesterfield Farm' is divided into eight paddocks that are fenced with post and netting with an electric top wire.
The farm offers various amenities, including a well-maintained two-stand raised board woolshed. Additionally, the woolshed is equipped with covered yards that have drafting facilities, along with cattle yards for efficient livestock management.
