The property, once the site of a native timber sawmill has now been fully developed by a couple of active relaxers who spend every weekend here. The grounds are planted in trees and plants synonymous with this location. Huge Beech trees line the banks of the Tadmor river along with Totara and Rimu. Manuka and Kanuka grow well here as does Kowhai and lots of different varieties of Flax. Tui frequent the area and you will wake to a chorus of bird song.

The owners have created easy walking tracks to the river, they pan for gold and you may spot a Trout but more importantly you will be overcome with the feeling of being away from the rush of everyday urban life.

A 8.2m long x 3.3m wide fully self-contained and relocatable cabin was built then transported onto the site. The owners towed it into the old mill shed so it has plenty of protection from the elements. It is a very lovely cabin ,fully double glazed and with a bathroom, a kitchen and small chippy fire that is more than ample to heat the space. One end is used as a bedroom and the kitchen and bathroom is at the other end. The middle section has French doors that open to the outdoor area and the gardens.

An older but sound, clean and tidy caravan has been set up as a second bedroom and is permanently located under the same shed roof.

Solar energy is used to heat the hot water and 3 deep cell batteries provide enough energy for lighting the cabin. A twin burner gas cooktop and fridge is included in the sale.

There is no other property like this, it is a real gem and only 40 minutes from urban Richmond.
