Description

Grazing / Cropping - 90 Hectares

Only 6 kilometres from Rongotea in the Manawatu District are 90 hectares currently utilised for cropping, grazing beef cattle and growing supplements.

Located on the corner of Kaimatarau and Leen Roads the property has mostly grown Maize grain in the past and grazed beef cattle over the winter. Flat in contour and predominantly Kairanga fine sandy loam soils the property is highly productive and while the focus has been on cropping the farm setup is also suitable for grazing cattle. Stock water is sourced from an on-farm bore and reticulated to the seven paddocks subdivided with multi-wire electric fences. Additional improvements include a two-bay storage shed, hay shed and old cow shed converted to yards and load-out facility. The current farming policy will include approximately 26 hectares planted in Maize with the balance in pasture for grazing and supplements.

The property is held in two titles and well suited for a range of farming activities with the additional benefits provided from a recently upgraded wetland area suitable for recreational activities.
