Waikareao is a renowned sheep, beef and deer breeding and finishing Station situated in the Wanstead district 25 kilometres East of Waipukurau.

The property contour consists of a small area of flat to predominantly easy rolling hill to a portion of medium hill with some steeper sidlings. Areas of scattered Kanuka with approximately 45 hectares of Pinus radiata planted in 2017 and 2018 feature throughout the property along with eleven hectares of QEII bush reserve established in 2021.
