Existing bedding configuration - Master bedroom with a king bed. Mezzanine floor has 1 x queen bed and a cosy small room to the side also has a king single bed. Also on the mezzanine floor is a pullout queen bed & a single bed if required.

The Waters Edge

Located on the ground floor of the large Silo, the Waters's Edge apartment is a great option for families wanting a unique holiday.

With contemporary design and furnishings this apartment has everything you need for a relaxing break. This is a two-bedroom apartment with a spacious lounge and dining area, full kitchen, and tiled bathroom with underfloor heating.

The sunny deck area is perfect for relaxing in the sunshine with a glass of wine and a good book or for alfresco dining. Look out through louver windows to the Harbour beyond. This is the perfect apartment for a family of four or two couples. Bedding configuration - Master bedroom with Super-king bed. The second bedroom has two singles or can be converted into a super-king bed.

The Wharf (Wharf Pad)

Located on the ground floor of the large Silo, the Wharf Pad apartment is a funky and affordable option for your Raglan holiday. With a contemporary design and furnishings this apartment has everything you need for a break away. This is a studio apartment with a comfortable lounge and dining area, kitchen, and bathroom with harbour views across the boat ramp.

The sheltered courtyard area is perfect for relaxing in the sunshine with a glass of wine and a good book or for alfresco dining. Perfect for a couple, this apartment has a King bed.

Each apartment has its own allocated parking while the location is second to none with swimming, fishing, legendary fish and chips and easy boat launching right on your doorstep. The vibrant hub of Raglan is a short walk away where you will find a plethora of eateries, cafes, arts, crafts, and live music venues. Several day hikes, mountain biking, beaches and of course world class surf breaks are only moments away.

While the apartments have been mainly used as holiday accommodation for the past few years, they have had several long-term tenants call them home. As holiday rentals, they have been highly productive with strong occupancy rates and high demand. The comments in their guest book are testimony to how well-loved the apartments are - with one world traveller putting them in his top 10 of places to stay. This is the perfect way to cover costs between your own usage times.

The wharf was enlarged in the mid-1960s for construction of the larger Golden Bay Cement silo and a smaller silo was built in 1972. The cement was used for the construction of Huntly power station and the Kaimai tunnel. Back in the early 1970s, cement made up the bulk of the harbour's trade. It's more than 30-years since Golden Bay shipped cement to Raglan but the solid concrete walls in each apartment are a permanent reminder of The Silos past.

“These are the only converted concrete silos in the whole of New Zealand,” Grant says. “They are truly unique.”
